AGR Jersey of the Week(end): Stephon Marbury on the Minnesota Timberwolves

Ah, what a gem. A Stephon Marbury authentic jersey–from the T-Wolves, no less! I loved the early Steph. He had quick handle, a sweet stroke, and deft passing ability. When I heard about the storied kid from Coney Island teaming up with phenom Kevin Garnett, it seemed as if nothing could go wrong! I guess everything turned out okay, anyway. KG has his ‘ship, and Stephon is just reaching his height of fame (infamy?) by playing in the Chinese Basketball Association. He even earned the All-Star Game MVP award! All’s well that ends well.

This is my only Timberwolves jersey, and for good reason. Nothing can come close to matching this, save for the jerseys Minnesota wore for KG’s rookie year. Oh, and I forgot to mention one of the jersey’s highlights–it’s made by Starter! I mean, come on, how many people realized that Starter (Champion’s younger, shittier brother), one of the more funnier and more obscure athletic brands throughout the years (unless you’re David Forscey), made NBA authentic jerseys?
